Suraj Malhan

Hi, I’m Suraj! I was born in New York, raised in Jersey, and completed undergrad and medical school in Philadelphia. I have a deep personal connection to the field of Neurology that invigorated my interest in medicine. Ever since I started learning about traumatic brain injuries and strokes from personal experience, my passion and interest in the field sparked. I enjoyed neuroanatomy in medical school, loved my outpatient clinical experiences, and valued the clinical complexity associated with degenerative disorders.  University of Maryland Medical Center was the ideal choice for me as the training is unparalleled with outstanding faculty and amazing co-residents.

 Outside of medicine, I enjoy craft breweries, live music, and exploring new talents… the most recent of which is sabre fencing. Baltimore has a lot to offer. With a great food scene, amazing culture, and fun events sprinkled throughout the city, Baltimore truly is Charm City.
