Parking/Transportation

On-campus Employee Parking

The department pays for on-campus parking for every resident and fellow in the department.

Applying for Parking

You will be asked to complete a form for the parking office with your information and that of the vehicle you will be parking on campus. Parking will provide us information on your garage assignment and a hangtag for your car for garage access. This will be distributed when you join the department. You retain this during all of your years of residency (as well as during your time as a fellow, should you stay with the department).

Lost, Stolen, or Broken Permits

If at any point you lose your hangtag, you’ll need to go to Parking Services to request a new one. Lost or stolen permits should be reported to Parking and Transportation Services on ext. 6-5518. You are responsible for paying any fees.

If your permit should break, bring it to the Parking Cashier’s office and it will be replaced at no charge to you.

Withdrawal From the Parking Program

Upon resigning from employment or taking a leave of absence longer than two weeks, parkers must return their permit to the Parking and Transportation Services Cashier’s office as part of the campus clearance procedure. Parking fees are due until the permit is received.

When you graduate, you will be asked to turn in your hangtag as part of the check-out process. You are also responsible for paying the fee if you do not return this.

Offsite Rotation

When residents need to rotate offsite, the program will reimburse up to $50/week towards the cost of parking. This could instead be used towards the cost of ride sharing or other transportation if the resident doesn’t have their own vehicle.

The resident should retain receipts that total up to the allowed amount and then submit to Jillian upon completion of the rotation. There must be receipts in order to be reimbursed.
