‍AAN Practice Guidelines

The American Academy of Neurology has developed a series of Practice Guidelines on a variety of topics. Although these documents are not all-inclusive, they are an important resource not only for direct patient care but also as a starting point for educational activities such as journal club.

Other professional societies and organizations offer practice guidelines or consensus statements addressing an array of issues. Residents are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these documents.
