Evaluations
Residents are evaluated throughout their time in the program. The evaluations are centered about their performance on required rotations and electives. Evaluations are based on the guidelines of the ACGME / NRC and are based on the Neurology Milestones. The residents are also evaluated on their performance on the ABPN Clinical Skills Evaluations (5 mandatory observed histories and physicals). Residents can receive “spot” evaluations based on exceptionally good performance or if a serious concern were to arise.
Residents will be assessed with a 360 degree evaluation tool utilizing multiple evaluators, including patients, nurses, peers, and self-assessments. Residents have the opportunity to anonymously evaluate their attendings as well as their rotations.
