I fell in love with the field of neurology because of the cerebral nature of the field, and the mentors I had the opportunity to work with during medical school. Seeing resident and attending neurologists interact with their patients in a caring, inquisitive, thoughtful and thorough manner, I knew these were qualities I wanted to emulate as a physician. Moreover, I found neurology to be one of the most exciting fields in terms of translational research. I am so proud to be a member of a field that is radically pushing the boundaries of what we understand and are able to treat!
I grew up in Maryland, and after going out of state for undergraduate studies and a research fellowship, I was so excited to return home for medical school at the University of Maryland. The colleagues, mentors, and diverse patient population I found here are unmatched - I am honored to continue my medical training at Maryland for residency and serve the community that helped to raise me.
