First class of Categorical program, spending all 4 years at UMMC

I became interested in pursuing neurology during the third year of medical school while on the neurology clerkship. The attendings and residents at Maryland were all eager to teach and it was clear that they were all very passionate about neurology. Their passion was infectious and I found myself enjoying studying neurology more than any other field. The residents and faculty at Maryland are extremely welcoming and made me feel at home while on my initial clerkship as well as on subsequent rotations within the department. As a result of the relationships formed and how important teaching is to the attendings I was very excited to be able to continue my training at UMMC for residency. 

When not at work I enjoy spending time with my dog Scooby, seeing my friends from medical school who also stayed in the area for residency, or spending time with my family.
