I first became interested in Neurology as a psychology major in college, where I found myself drawn to classes in the neurosciences. After taking neuroanatomy in medical school, I was fascinated by the process of localization based solely on the neurologic exam, and further clinical exposure to neurology led me to choose this field for residency.

At my interview dinner for UMMC, I was surprised to meet a group of residents that I immediately felt comfortable with.  I also came to learn how much the attendings in this program truly care about each resident individually. Both the residents and attendings are very approachable, creating a supportive environment for training which was exactly what I was looking for in a program.  In my time here so far, I've also felt fortunate to have the chance to work with a diverse patient population, seeing a lot of interesting pathology on a daily basis which has really contributed to my education.

I had never been to Baltimore prior to residency, but I've really grown to love the city. There are a lot of cool neighborhoods with great restaurants and bars. In my free time, I like to cook, try new restaurants, shop at the farmer's market, and go for runs by the harbor.
