My interest in neurology started during medical school during my neuroanatomy course. I began to learn about the discrete centers and tracts that organize to produce the sensations, thoughts, and movements we experience. I started to view the many pathways and tracts as an engineered network that can explain phenomena that are more complex than the parts of the system. When I began to practice neurology on my third-year rotations, I realized that this was the perfect specialty for me.
I interviewed virtually at UMMC and have found that the in-person experience is very similar to the virtual one. All the faculty and residents are very warm and welcoming. There are so many experts here throughout each sub-specialty that make it is easy to find your path or reach the goals for your career.
Outside of the hospital, I am a huge Philly sports fan. I also try to be active outside and have been hiking all over the Baltimore area. I’m also a fan of good food and a cheap happy hour.
