I have been a Marylander my whole life and a Baltimorian for about 10 years. I love my city and state with such a diversity of opportunities and people. I first became interested in Neurology as an undergraduate when I happened to shadow a movement disorders specialist and a patient with Parkinson’s Disease showed me what a difference his DBS made in his tremors. I knew I had to learn more of the intricacies of the brain after that. During medical school, I had the privilege to be taught by some of the best and most passionate teachers – our neurology attendings. When choosing a residency program, our wonderful attendings, research opportunities, an being able to stay close to family all played a role in my decision to choose University of Maryland.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my large extended family (I have over 50 first cousins) most of whom live in Maryland. Other hobbies of mine include reading, cross-stitch, and napping. I love Disney World and have visited over 20 times. I am also looking to buy a house in Hampden and live my HGTV dream.
