I developed an interest in Neurology through my undergraduate studies. I was involved in a neuroscience research project regarding axon development using C. elegans as a model organism. My interest grew from their as I learned about the beautiful correlation of structure and function that is the basis of neurology. In medical school, I particularly enjoyed my Neurology rotation with a fantastic physician in the Delaware region, Dr. Lanny Edelsohn.
I am fortunate to have the opportunity to train at the University of Maryland, one of the pre-eminent medical centers in the region with a robust patient population. The tour of the medical campus sold me on UMMC as I witnessed first-hand the incredible resources in both faculty and infrastructure that would be available to us as residents. It is also located in the vibrant city of Baltimore with beautiful neighborhoods fit for all stages of personal life, whether it is being a young urban professional or raising a family.
My interests outside of my life in medicine includes spending time outdoors (I really do miss the beaches of Hawaii) and everything involving basketball. I bike to work from my nice quaint neighborhood of Hampden, and I look forward to exploring Baltimore and the neighboring states with my significant other.
