In 2008 I joined the military, enlisting as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy. After six years working in Navy Medicine, my passion for medicine developed to the degree that I knew medical school would be the right move for me. My background in combat medicine and passion for taking care of other veterans led to an interest in researching and treating traumatic brain injuries, which ultimately led me to pursue a career in Neurology. UMMC’s Neurology residency excited me with its strong academic and clinical reputation, exposure to a wide range of pathologies, access to cutting edge research, and VA-based component.

In my free time, I enjoy following along with my favorite sports team, Manchester United, and participating in a wide variety of time-consuming hobbies. I build modular synthesizers, play a variety of instruments, and am an avid home chef and bartender. Moving from medical school in Philadelphia, Baltimore felt instantly familiar (although enjoyably distinct) with its charming neighborhoods and diverse food scene. I am looking forward to the live music scene reopening after the pandemic ends. Baltimore has quickly become home for me, for my wife, and for my dog Arlo.
