I had an early interest in neurology while studying integrative neurosciences in my undergraduate courses. Soon after, I became involved in a neuroscience EEG lab, while studying event-related potentials in human occipital lobes. While applying for residency, I was interested in coming to an academic training program with a high acuity and comprehensive stroke center. UMMC was a place where I felt I would have a rigorous training experience with a diverse disease demographic, and my expectations have been exceeded thus far.
In my free time, I enjoy following along with my favorite sports team, Liverpool FC, and attending the sporting events right in the heart of Downtown. I am an avid skier and will typically utilize most of my vacation time traveling to Colorado to visit my brother and ski the Rockies. In between ski trips, I enjoy the bar and food scene around the city, which has been a treat to explore. Baltimore has a lot to offer (even outside of crab cakes), ranging from breweries, museums, live music, and Little Italy, which is a personal favorite. Baltimore is a fun, walkable city that continues to provide a great social experience outside of the hospital.
