I knew neurology was the field for me when I learned about hemineglect in medical school and could not stop talking about it for weeks. I was one of those students who liked every rotation, but it was still an easy choice. Neurologic disease can produce a fascinating array of presentations, and I knew that it would continue to interest and surprise me for the duration of my career.
I have felt at home in UMMC Neurology since day 1. This department offers a close, supportive community, and UMMC offers the challenge and privilege of caring for an underserved population.
Outside of the hospital, I enjoy traveling (or planning my next trip), hiking in the nearby state parks or further out in Shenandoah, crossword puzzles, trivia night, and exploring Baltimore.
