Anant Walia

My dad is a Neurologist, and he was one of my biggest inspirations for entering the field. Speaking with him made me excited for neurology and going through third year rotations really confirmed it was the right decision for me.  

I am originally from Lancaster, PA but went to the University of Maryland for Medical School. I loved the institution, the faculty, and am grateful for the relationships I have made and thrilled to be staying for residency. I know that UMMC will give me great training and allow me to see patients from all different backgrounds and with a diverse array of pathology and presentations. I look forward to providing care to the Baltimore community that has given me so much over the years.  

In my free time I love to watch sports, basketball and football specifically. I am an Eagles fan but always excited to go with friends to Ravens games too. I love exploring the Baltimore food scene and can give some great recommendations for vegetarian food in the area.
