Aditya Pisupati

My interest in Neurology began when I was an undergraduate student exploring neuroscience. I became fascinated by the many open problems in both basic and clinical neuroscience. This fascination only grew while I completed my PhD researching voltage-gated ion channels and working with patients with neurologic diseases as a third-year medical student. While these illnesses are complex and much work remains to come up with effective treatments for many of them, I’m optimistic that I can hone my clinical and scientific skills to help make these therapies a reality.

One of the big reasons why I’m thrilled to be here at the University of Maryland is that this institution is filled with leaders in the field who can help me move forward with my career goals and help me in becoming a better clinician and scientist. I’m extremely happy with the support and guidance from our seniors and faculty!
