I became interested in neurology during the neurology block in my didactic years of medical school. I found the nervous system fascinating and was intrigued by the fact that there was so much about the field that remains unexplored. This interest carried over into a neurology elective during my third year of medical school. I thoroughly enjoyed the clinical practice of neurology and found the neurological exam to be an incredible view into the nervous system. It was at this point that I was sure that I would continue in the field of neurology.

The University of Maryland was a top program for me for a number of reasons. The residents and attendings were warm and inviting during my interactions with the program. I knew that by coming here, I would get excellent training in all areas of Neurology. Additionally, as a large academic center, I knew that I would get exposure to diverse patients and pathologies that would allow me to practice confidently after residency.

Outside of medicine, I like to spend my time exploring the city of Baltimore, trying new restaurants, and attending Orioles games. I like playing and listening to music and I have a growing vinyl record collection. I enjoy watching sports including baseball and college football.
